AlterSack and me found the origin of the problem

The control mode has to be set to "automatic", otherwise no auto-game-logic is enabled
which of course includes the pitch count

ja genau, das ist in der Tat ein Feature.
Sieh mal im Game Data Panel nach, da sollte es den Auto-Pitch Count geben.
Aktiviere den, dann auf "submit" klicken und es sollte dann wieder bei Balls und Strikes den Count hochzählen
